The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund is an action of the Government of Punjab under the leadership of Chief Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. To make it more effective, transparent, and independent in its functioning; the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund is registered under section 42 of the Companies Constitution, 1984.

The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund was originally established. The Government of Punjab has allocated another PKR. 5 billion for the FY 2017- 18.
Only the investment proceeds out of this fund are employed for the award of literacy. The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund was established to give education backing to talented and indigent scholars to pursue quality education with equal openings.
PEEF trials to give stylish educational openings to the lower privileged and brilliant youth of Punjab, and bring them to par with the most fortunate bones.

PEEF is a visionary education scheme that provides finances to the doorstep of talented and meritorious scholars. Allocation of this literacy is grounded on the Tehsils and District results of the scholars. a further focus of this literacy is on the sixteen( 16) less advanced sections, especially from southern Punjab.

Special proportions for orphans, children of government workers of BPS1- 4, special children, children belonging to nonages, and children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks have also been allocated.
The PEEF is also furnishing education openings for advanced education to the talented and indigent scholars of other businesses AJK, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad Capital Territory through this program.

Since the inception of its operations in 2009; the PEEF has awarded more than 232,000 literacy worth further than PKR.11.5 billion. With the addition of the current time’s( 2017- 18) 125,000 literacy; the total number of literacy awarded will be raised to further than 350,000( approx.) worth further than PKR.17.00 billion.
